I have been involved in building a new brand for Shelter Insurance, Say Insurance, from the beginning of the project.
This project has been so much FUN. The directive was to build a new company, separate from the parent company to sell auto insurance online directly to consumers with no agents. And to do it using new technologies and techniques. I was specially requested by the developers to join the project as one of about 6 founding members on the development team.
When I first joined the team, I was still developing, so I learned angularjs as part of supporting the api team.
I was tech lead early on and wrote all technical parts of the developer stories for the agile team.
I was involved in selecting the name, colors and logo.
I helped build a brand new front end development team of PHP developers.
I was tech lead on this new team for awhile until taking over full time as UX designer.
